Aya Ferguson
Aya Ferguson is a versatile, experienced and well-liked management consultant with exceptional interpersonal skills. This enables her to engage with and gain buy-in from stakeholders at all levels which has proven to benefit the Foundation.
Aya is a qualified project and programme manager who is passionate about bringing together opposing sides in intense stakeholder environments. She has a successful track record in delivering regulatory change through consultation, developing communication strategies and managing stakeholders to implement strategies and achieve results effectively.
Aya has played a key role in organising fundraising events both for her local church and her daughters' nursery. She is also a member of the management committee of the New Stepping Stones Playgroup. Aya is keen to use her skills and experience to help achieve Mende's dream of improving educational facilities for the people of the Nuba Mountains and is establishing the charity in the UK.
Aya is Danish but has been a UK resident for over 20 years. She lives in South West London with her husband, Tom, and two daughters Sofia, aged 3 and Megan, aged 5.
